Our wish is that everyone is able to enjoy the warmth and comfort of a place to call their own.

Join us this holiday season in supporting our mission to strengthen Houston’s women and families.

Every day, our goal as a design firm is to celebrate home. During the holiday season, this mission bears truer meaning as we share special moments with family and friends in our most treasured and beautifully decorated spaces.

This year, we are partnering with Magpies and Peacocks to bring a little of that holiday spirit to Houston’s underserved community. Together, we will be creating handcrafted toiletry bags for The Women’s Home in Spring Branch. This small gesture supports women and families with essential items they’ll need as they gain stability.

We are honored to collaborate with these fantastic organizations and we invite you to help. By purchasing a toiletry bag, you’ll help us in two ways: you’ll support Magpies and Peacocks in their mission of sustainabile reuse and you’ll contribute to the well-being of women and families as they experience housing transition. Through it all, you’ll be joining us as we celebrate and honor the meaning of home.

Help us Reach our donation Goals

Join us in making a difference this holiday season by donating $50 to support BOTH Magpies and Peacocks and The Women’s Home in Houston, TX. Your generous contribution will help create a lovingly handcrafted toiletry bag, made from Laura U Design Collective’s curation of luxurious fabrics.

These fabrics will be transformed into beautiful, bespoke bags by the caring hands at Magpies and Peacocks, and filled with essential items like shampoo, moisturizer, soap, and other toiletries. Our hope is to gather enough donations to create 300 of these special bags, raising $15,000 for Magpies and Peacocks, while bringing comfort and care to the vulnerable families supported by The Women’s Home.

Magpies & Peacocks, Inc. is the nation’s only 501(c)3 non-profit design house dedicated to the collection and sustainable reuse of post-consumer clothing, scrap textiles, and accessories. They aim to disrupt the cycle of waste in fashion, while building a sustainable future for Makers in the Industry.
