Strasburg steps into a new role at the award-winning interior design firm

Houston, TX – Megan Strasburg has stepped into the Director of Residential Design role at Laura U Design Collective, a full-service residential design firm specializing in extensive renovations and interior design based in Houston, TX. Over the past 3 years, Strasburg has worked with the firm’s founder and CEO Laura Umansky and truly understands the firm’s signature process.

Strasburg will come alongside Laura U Design Collective’s Director of Interior Design, Shannon Smith, to guide the practice’s multi-disciplinary approach to residential design and take the reins on overseeing all the firm’s historic renovations, large-remodels, and additions. “Megan has been with my firm for more than 3 years and has always been a leader within our design team,” said Umansky. “Her love of bringing new life into historic and older homes is contagious. Her attention to detail and dedication to design makes her perfect for this role. I’m so happy to have her on board.”

Megan has accumulated over 12 years of experience in the architectural field, with nearly 8 years in the high-end residential space. Early travel with her family to places like Europe and Southeast Asia sparked her interest in the architecture of places and lead her to pursue an education in architecture. “My passion for design is client-centric, powered by a love for creating spaces that are an honest reflection of self,” said Strasburg. “I’m excited to continue to work with the talented team at Laura U Design Collective and work with our clients to create an exceptional design experience.”
