Shannon Smith Announced as Laura U Design Collective’s New Director of Interior Design
Smith steps into a new role at the award-winning design firm
Houston, TX – Shannon Smith has stepped into the Director of Interior Design role at Laura U Design Collective, a full-service firm specializing in residential interior design based in Houston, TX. With a 10-year tenure at the design studio, Smith has worked hand-in-hand with the firm’s founder and CEO Laura Umansky and truly understands the firm’s mission and values.
Smith will come alongside Laura to guide the practice’s multi-disciplinary approach to residential design and lead a team of 10 designers to create beautiful, bespoke, and functional designs that fit their clients’ lifestyles. “Shannon has been with my firm for nearly 10 years and has always been a leader within our design team,” said Umansky. “It was only natural that she takes the helm of our interior design practice. I’m so happy to have her on board.”
Smith has vast experience starting her career in the hospitality industry, designing luxury hotels all over Asia. Today, she is recognized for her distinctive modern glamorous style, inspired by her international travels and time living abroad. Smith has worked on projects all over the globe for the Laura U Design Collective and embodies the firm’s guiding truth “for the love of home.”
