As an interior designer, I believe every space in a home should be as beautiful as it is functional. And listen, there is nothing like a beautifully designed, thoughtfully structured, high-quality piece from Century Furniture. Yes, I’m talking furniture! Beds, sectionals, footstools and everything in between.
A big portion of our design process includes carefully curating each and every furnishing that goes into a home. The pieces we select for our interiors are functional, luxurious and designed to last. Sourcing heirloom quality pieces allow us to create timeless designs that our clients can enjoy for years and years to come.
Century Furniture
When I started my boutique studio 10 years ago, the very first trade account I opened was with Century Furniture. Even then, I knew Century’s sustainable materials and innovative collections were perfect for creating interiors that stood the test of time. I also love that as a family-owned business they have come to be one of the world’s largest residential furniture manufacturers! With masterful furnishings and forward-thinking production, it’s no wonder Century Furniture is a leader in the design industry.
Century Furniture Design Ideas
Today I’m sharing 12 of my favorite Century Furniture pieces and why they work with any interior design style. Hopefully, these Century Furniture design samples will serve as some source of inspiration for your next project!
1. Mirrored Nightstand
Add depth and dimension to a space by incorporating mirrored elements. In this petite bedroom, we wanted to give our clients plenty of storage to keep things out of sight, but within reach. This mirrored nightstand from Century Furniture allows them to do just that! I love that this piece has the classic shape of a traditional nightstand. And yet, the mirrored front and metallic detailing make it feel fresh and modern. The gold edging also pairs nicely with the studs on the bed frame. It’s the idyllic nightstand for this glamorous master bedroom.
2. Troy Metal Counter Stools
Clean lines and a moody color palette give this sleek and structured kitchen a masculine feel. The Troy Metal Counter Stools were a flawless way to add an elegant touch to the space. The brass frames coordinate with the cabinetry’s brass hardware and the interior detailing of the pendant lights.
Patterned upholstery on the stools adds a striking contrast while playing off the deep color of the cabinets. As an added bonus, the low profile design of the stools provides visual interest without interrupting the lines of sight.
3. Palladian Lounge Chair
In my opinion, Century Furniture’s Palladian lounge chair redefines the idea of what an outdoor chair should be! It’s an ideal balance of beauty, comfort and elegance. The teak frame gives the chair clean, modern lines while the cream cushions add comfort and airiness.
These lounge chairs are crafted with the finishes of high-quality indoor furniture but are designed to withstand full-time exposure to the outdoors. That means you don’t have to worry about fading, mildew or deterioration! As a Houstonian and designer with many coastal projects, this is a dream! The Palladian lounge chair will look fresh and feel fabulous over the years.
4. Martini Luxe Accent Table
The Martini Luxe accent table is one of those pieces that is both functional and luxurious. The polished brass base and acrylic top are chic and sophisticated. I love that you can pair it with a larger sectional or a contemporary accent chair to give yourself additional surface space. This little table is excellent for books, coffee mugs and as its name suggests, a martini! What a simple way to shake up a design.
5. Kelly Chair
When it comes to creating a cozy seating arrangement, one of the best accent chairs to use is a club chair. Known as “the comfy chair” because of its extra deep seats, it’s a great spot for relaxation.
Besides comfort, my favorite feature of Century Furniture’s Kelly Chair is its silhouette. The graceful scooping arms and curved feet remind me of a little Bombay chest. The rich contrast of the melange finished wood frame and soft cream fabric is an example of balancing masculine and feminine styles.
6. King Size Kelly Bed
Here is a beautifully manufactured bed that serves as another example of melding masculine and feminine styles. Like the Kelly Chair, this bed was modeled after a petite French Deco club chair. In this case, the dark wood frame and studded base give the bed an edgy vibe. Its soft gray upholstery and beautiful curved lines, on the other hand, bring in elegance and sophistication.
The Kelly Bed also provides a seamless transition between this master suite’s caramel-colored wall panels and bold blue chairs. All in all, it’s a chic bed frame that can mix and mingle with any style.
7. Wood Console Table
This mid-century inspired console table adds a more traditional element to this contemporary living room. The rich wood adds warmth to the airy space and the metallic accents add a touch of shine to catch your eye. The open layout keeps the piece from looking clunky in this space.
8. Emerge Brass Lamp Table
I love the Emerge brass lamp table because it’s like an art sculpture! The organic shape provides a beautiful contrast to the horizontal lines of the fireplace and the area rug. The gold finish adds a touch of glam and ties in the detailing on the wood console table. It’s a great piece to make a bold, unexpected statement.
9. Octagonal Chair
You’ve heard this a million and one times, but I have an obsession with accent chairs. When I saw this octagonal chair, I fell in absolute love! The unique use of geometric design gives this traditional style chair a more modern vibe. You can also see how the gracefully curved arms add structure while providing a regal feel.
I love that the fabric we chose for the upholstery ties in the shades of blues and purples we used throughout the design. It’s cool and relaxed, but still sophisticated. Plus the sable finish adds warmth and richness to this crisp white space.
10. Kendall Nesting Side Tables
I adore these Kendall nesting side tables. Their neutral color palette and simplistic style allow them to work with any interior design style. The subtle gray finished oak of the larger table provides a modern twist on the traditional wood accent table. It’s a terrific match to the wood floors and gray upholstery we used on the chair.
The shagreen finish on the smaller table (tucked underneath) brings in texture while the metal finish adds a luxe feel. These nesting tables are a sleek way to bring extra surface space to any room.
11. Artides Martini Table
The textured finish and tapered shape of the Artides Martini table are definitely eye-catching. The slim design makes it a great piece to tuck into a smaller area without making a space look crowded.
This Century Furniture piece is ideal for entertaining. You can place it around the room without interrupting the flow. It gives your guests a convenient spot to place their wine or cocktails during a conversation.
12. Omni Executive Chair
Having a fabulous and comfortable office chair is a must for any home office, library or study. The Omni Executive Chair in the sable finish is a gorgeous blend of traditional and modern. The tapered chairback and gentle curve of the arm make it feel modern and elegant. And the cream fabric we chose helps lighten up the dark wood of the desk and lacquered cabinets. Together, these elements create a professional and timeless look.
