#1 Marrakech High End Metallic Silver with Truffle Lattice Pattern Phillip Jeffries Wallcovering
Featured Project: Circle Drive | Bellaire, Texas
When we designed the dining room at Circle Drive, we wanted the artwork to guide many of the decisions that followed. A vibrant koi painting by Joseph Bradley established the palette by introducing rich blues, warm golds, and organic forms that echo throughout the space. Adriana Hoyos dining chairs upholstered in custom Zimmer + Rohde fabrics capture the homeowner’s love of blue, while a custom El Dorado dining table and ivory drapery keep the room contemporary and uncluttered.
Rather than specifying Phillip Jeffries’ Marrakech High End Metallic Silver with Truffle Lattice Pattern on the walls, we looked upward. The wallcovering was installed on the vaulted ceiling, where its subtle metallic finish catches light from the gold leaf Restoration Hardware chandelier. The lattice pattern adds another layer of texture without competing with the artwork below, and it draws attention to one of the room’s most distinctive architectural features.
We loved this collection so much that we specified another Phillip Jeffries wallcovering on the ceiling of the home’s study as well. Wallcoverings aren’t limited to vertical surfaces, and ceilings present another opportunity to introduce texture where paint alone might have felt unfinished.
#2 Shades of Silk in Pebble Phillip Jeffries Wallcovering
Featured Project: University Place Contemporary | Houston, Texas
Designed around the homeowners’ vibrant contemporary art collection, University Place Contemporary balances bold public spaces with more restrained private rooms. While colorful artwork, sculptural lighting, and expressive furnishings animate the living areas, the primary bedroom uses a cooler, more subdued palette. A custom navy upholstered bed by Creative Style Furniture, black-and-brass sconces, gray textiles, and pale furnishings give the room contrast without introducing another strong pattern.
For the walls, we selected David Sutherland for Phillip Jeffries’ Shades of Silk in Pebble. The cool, silvery tone complements the navy bed and gray textiles, while the fine horizontal texture gives the pale walls more dimension than paint would. The wallcovering also reflects the natural light from the windows, which keeps the room from looking sparse or flat despite its sophisticated, limited palette.

Featured Project: Hunter’s Creek | Hedwig Village, Texas
Designed for a young couple, Hunter’s Creek embraces expressive color, custom furnishings, and highly personalized details throughout the home. While many of the shared living spaces celebrate the homeowners’ love of entertaining, the primary bedroom takes a quieter approach. A custom upholstered bed by Creative Style Furniture anchors the room, while antique brass pendants, tailored drapery, and sculptural furnishings create a bedroom that feels sophisticated without sacrificing comfort.
To complement those furnishings, we selected David Sutherland for Phillip Jeffries’ Japanese Silky Strings in Moonstone, installed by Wallpaper By Leo. The wallcovering introduces delicate texture that enriches the room without competing with the custom bed or layered textiles. Instead of relying on pattern, the finely woven surface adds dimension through light and shadow, giving the walls a softness that perfectly supports the bedroom’s warm, contemporary palette.

Featured Project: River Oaks Modern | Houston, Texas
Powder baths are wonderful places to embrace a little drama. At River Oaks Modern, we paired richly veined black stone, warm walnut cabinetry, smoked glass tile, white porcelain sink, and dark metal accents to create a space that feels intimate and sophisticated. While compact in size, every material was selected to make the room feel layered and memorable.
For the walls, we specified Phillip Jeffries’ Vinyl Thai Silk in Midnight Mantra. Inspired by the look and feel of handcrafted silk, the performance wallcovering introduces subtle texture without competing with the room’s other finishes. Its deep charcoal tone complements the stone and smoked glass while softening the harder surfaces throughout the space. Designed for a homeowner with a love of fashion, travel, and art, our Highland Village Contemporary project embraces saturated color throughout the entire home. Throughout the home, you’ll find sculptural furnishings, layered textures, and contemporary artwork that feel expressive without sacrificing sophistication, even as they make space for small children. The girls’ bedroom follows that same philosophy; it feels playful yet elevated enough to grow alongside its young occupant.
For this room, we selected Phillip Jeffries’ Bloom in Fuchsia on Japanese Paper Weave, which is a large-scale mural inspired by watercolor florals. The oversized blossoms establish the palette of this space; it introduces soft lavender, plum, blush, and deep violet tones behind a sculptural boucle lounge chair, acrylic floor lamp, four-poster bed, and more.
#6 Beyond Blue Vista on White Paper Weave Phillip Jeffries Wallcovering
Featured Project: Colonial Drive | Houston, Texas
The dining room at Colonial Drive was designed around conversation, entertaining, and a strong visual focal point. Soft gray dining chairs, a sculptural chandelier, and floor-to-ceiling blue drapery establish a cool, tailored palette, but the walls immediately capture your attention. Rather than hanging artwork, we let the wallcovering define this space.
For this space, we selected David Sutherland for Phillip Jeffries’ Beyond in Blue Vista on White Paper Weave. Inspired by watercolor landscapes, the mural-like wallcovering wraps the dining room in layered washes of blue, gray, taupe, and white. It introduces movement without relying on a repeating pattern, which made it the perfect complement to the room’s clean-lined furnishings and contemporary lighting.
#7 Glam Grass Phillip Jeffries Wallcovering in Venetian Glass
Featured Project: Colonial Drive | River Oaks, Houston, Texas
Much of Colonial Drive balances cool grays and blues with warmer materials like maple, antique brass, and linen. The formal sitting room follows that same palette, though it introduces softer furnishings and lighter finishes than many of the home’s entertaining spaces. A Hickory Chair sofa, tailored armchairs, brass accent tables, and pale textiles all come together here.
For the walls, we selected Phillip Jeffries’ Glam Grass in Venetian Glass. The woven grasscloth introduces texture without competing with the room’s furnishings or artwork. Its warm neutral tone complements the linen upholstery and antique brass finishes throughout the space, while the subtle sheen gives the walls a bit more presence than painted drywall. In a room with relatively few patterns, this texture is absolutely perfect.
#8 Mirage in Tumbleweed on Marshmallow Manila Hemp Phillip Jeffries Wallcovering
Featured Project: Oak Estate | Houston, Texas
Throughout our Oak Estate project, we looked for opportunities to introduce texture in unexpected places. In the family room, rather than applying wallcovering across every wall, we reserved Phillip Jeffries’ Mirage in Tumbleweed on Marshmallow Manila Hemp for the recessed millwork niches flanking the fireplace.
Printed on natural Manila hemp, Mirage boasts a soft abstract wash that feels almost painterly. Installed inside the niches, it gives those architectural recesses more presence while providing a subtle backdrop for the homeowners’ artwork and decorative objects. The tonal variation also complements the room’s neutral palette of warm whites, soft grays, and natural wood.
#9 Saint Germain Hemp II Gold on White Phillip Jeffries Wallcovering
Featured Project: University Place | Houston, Texas
University Place was inspired by the relaxed, layered interiors often associated with Southern California. Throughout the home, we introduced organic textures, warm woods, sculptural furnishings, and a palette loosely influenced by the California coastline. The formal sitting room reflects that direction through a Lawson Fenning sofa, Palecek lounge chairs, House + Town cocktail tables, and artwork by Zoe Bios Creative.
For the walls, we selected Phillip Jeffries’ Saint Germain Hemp II Gold on White grasscloth. The woven hemp introduces another natural material to the room, while its subtle metallic finish echoes the brass curtain rod and the flecks of gold within the artwork. Rather than relying on a patterned wallpaper, we wanted the walls to contribute texture and warmth while keeping the focus on the furnishings and art collection.
#10 Vinyl Woven Sisal Phillip Jeffries Wallcovering in Ecru Way
Featured Project: University Place | Houston, Texas
The dining room at University Place reflects the home’s California-inspired palette through natural materials, clean-lined furnishings, and subtle texture. Palecek’s rope-wrapped Everly pendants hang above a dark wood dining table, while custom blue Roberta Schilling chairs introduce one of the room’s strongest color accents. Full-height drapery mounted close to the ceiling emphasizes the room’s generous proportions and fills the space with soft natural light.
For the walls, we selected Phillip Jeffries’ Vinyl Woven Sisal in Ecru Way. The woven texture reinforces the relaxed material palette that appears throughout the home and pairs naturally with the rope pendants, linen drapery, and warm wood finishes. Its understated pattern also provides a fitting backdrop for the geometric artwork by Andy Blank, whose bold brushwork and layered forms introduce another level of texture without overwhelming the room.
